Every empire has multiple paths of victory to pursue, you can either influence rivals to defect to your cause using cultural influence, diplomatic manoeuvres or annihilate them with your mighty army.
You will have access to dozens of tools such as diplomatic treaties, resource exchanges, United Planets resolutions to the hundreds of research directions scientists can pursue, and an effectively infinite number of ways to design and deploy star fleets. Every area of the game – planetary development, starbase construction, inter-faction negotiations, ideology, and much more – presents players with choices that shape their galaxy.
With 12 DLCs and expansion packs and support for mods, you will be able to sink plenty of hours into Galactic Civilizations III. You might even play it right up till the release of Galactic Civilizations IV.
Critically acclaimed Monster Hunter Rise charges, leaps and roars onto the PC
Monster Hunter Rise will transport you to the colourful Kamura Village as it prepares to defend itself against the looming Rampage. The newest entry to the Monster Hunter series shares many familiar mechanics to past games but also adds plenty of new ones. As a hunter, you will gain access to 14 weapons types, which you will upgrade and craft new ones to make hunting tougher and scarier monsters easier. You will be assisted by series favourite “Felyne” Palicoes companion but this time, you will also gain the assistance of “Canyne” Palamute companions that act as mounts so you can swiftly chase fleeing monsters and traverse open maps quickly.
Another new mechanic comes in the form of the “Wirebug” grappling mechanic that not only helps you traverse the diverse terrain easily but also can be used to create unique “Silkbind Attacks.” When monsters are damaged by these new attacks, it will make them more susceptible to the new “Wyvern riding” technique, which allows you to temporarily take control of a monster and use them in battle sequences against other monsters.
The PC release of Monster Hunter Rise includes all content up to the 3.6.1 update which features multiple additional monsters including returning fan-favourites such as Chameleos and Valstrax. You will also gain access to collaboration content with iconic games such as Okami, Ghost ‘n Goblins and more. Of course, you can expect more post-launch content at the end of February 2022, Additionally, there will also be the massive Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak™ paid expansion arriving in Summer 2022.
Fantasy RPG Sword of Elpisia is a beautiful game with an intriguing story
Sword of Elpisia by KEMCO is set in the magical world of Terra where civilization developed thanks to magitools and where there are frequent cases of people being turned into Magiswords. The tale of Sword of Elpisia begins with a strange meeting between Aldo, a young man who repairs magitools, and Alice, a girl who chooses to become a Magisword to rescue her friends. She becomes Aldo’s sword and throws herself into battle.
This fantasy role-playing game draws inspiration from classic JRPGs from its charming dot graphics to the turn-base and complex battles. Battles require you to choose between offence and defence as each action requires AP (action points). Much like classic favourites, characters can be levelled up to 999 and weapons can go beyond level 999.
