Epic Games Store Offers Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead and Ironcast for Free

Source: Headup Games (L) & Ripstone (R)

In the coming weeks, the free games on the Epic Games Store will be puzzle games that are great if you are a little tired of the hacking and slashing or headshots. This week, you can add Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead and Ironcast to your library for absolutely no cost.

The former is brought to you by Headup and AMC. Based on the critically acclaimed TV series, this puzzle game takes the mechanics from the Bridge Constructor series into the post-apocalyptic universe of The Walking Dead. You will join a group of survivors and fan-favourite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene in their fight against the undead horde and hostile human communities.

Your main objective is to ensure their survival by creating a safe passage to exit points. To buy them time, you will also have to create traps by using movable level objects, explosives and baits to lure walkers into lethal traps.

As for Ironcast, this turn-based strategy game released in 2015 draws inspiration from games like Puzzle Quest and Bejeweled. What sets Ironcast apart is that it is set in an alternate Victorian history; where refined men and women command gigantic mechanised war machines, laying waste to enemies of the British Empire.

Much like Puzzle Quest, you will have to generate resource nodes that will power up your Ironcast’s various weapons and systems. You will have to choose how you spend your nodes wisely as one wrong move could end the battle in your enemy’s favour. The game also mixes in rogue-lite elements where death is permanent but rewards are persistent and missions are randomly generated, so no two campaigns are ever the same.

Watch Dogs: Legion Gets Brand New Story in Bloodline Expansion

The newest expansion for Watch Dogs: Legion, Bloodline, is now available on the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store and Ubisoft+. You can access the expansion through the Season Pass, or as part of Watch Dogs: Legion Gold and Ultimate Editions. You will require the base game to play.

Watch Dogs: Legion - Bloodline is a standalone narrative expansion that takes place before the events of Watch Dogs: Legion’s main campaign and follows the story of how Aiden from the original Watch Dogs game and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 gets caught up in London’s struggle with authoritarianism.

In addition to the expansion, Season Pass owners will be able to add Aiden and Wrench to your Dedsec Resistance crew and use them in the main campaign or Online mode. Both characters come with their own dedicated abilities, for example, Aiden has Focus, System Crash and Gunslinger while Wrench has Summon Sergei, Ninja Balls, Lady Smash and custom skins for the MPX SMG and LTL Grenade Launcher.

You can purchase Watch Dogs: Legion through the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Store. If you already have the base game on the Epic Games Store, you can pick up the expansion by clicking HERE.

Warframe Gets Slew of New Improvements Through Sisters of Parvos Update

Source: Digital Extremes

After eight years, Digital Extremes is still producing new content for its free-to-play cooperative looter shooter, Warframe. With its latest update, Sisters of Parvos, the game gets an extended storyline, new Warframe, an in-game comic-book collection quests, a Corpus Lich system with new rewards, several new customisation options and more.

In the latest update, the threat of Parvos Granum and the Corpus Corporation expands further into the Origin System. This time, he creates the sisters he never had, an Executive Board of cruel, corporate killers outfitted with high-tech Corpus weaponry.

To battle this army of cold, calculating killers accompanied by mechanised hounds, you will gain access to the new player designed, water-bending Warframe, Yareli who creates blades of ice, powerful geysers and an aqua board to protect her wards, the orphaned Ventkids of Fortuna. Yareli is said to be one of the most accessible Warframes and will be available to acquire by players who have completed Vox Solaris.

Warframe is available for free on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store.

Lemnis Gate BETA Begins on July 22

Frontier Foundry has revealed that from July 22 to July 26, gamers will be able to take part in the BETA and jump into the action and experience the cerebral intricacies of their upcoming turn-based strategy shooter, Lemnis Gate

The BETA will feature four maps and two game modes that will give you a taste of the tactical challenges that is the main draw of the game. The first mode is called Retrieve XM that takes place across the maps of Tectonic Wells and Quarry. Players will need to leverage these varied landscapes as part of their strategy as they compete to collect the most Exotic Matter (XM) before time runs out. The second mode is called Domination, where players will have to outwit and outsmart their opponents as they compete to control territory across the maps of Chimera and Abror.

All seven Operatives will be available for you to try out in the BETA. You can deploy the likes of robotic Operative KARL, poison-spewing Toxin, and time-slowing marksman Striker. Competitors will have to roll out a new Operative at the beginning of every 25-second round, so there’s plenty of scope for tactical geniuses to devise incredible game plans spanning multiple timelines.

In addition to battling across various worlds, players who take part in the BETA will also have the opportunity to unlock exclusive Operative and weapon skins, which will be carried over to the full game at launch.

Lemnis Gate is available for pre-order on Steam and the Windows Store and is now 20% off until August 3. Preorders will also unlock the exclusive KARL Operative and weapon skin, Mettle Mantis.
